SpaceWire is the current state-of-the-art for high-speed communications among the different units of the satellite. SpaceWire standard has been defined by the European Space Agency (ESA) and it is part of the ECSS standards. Its use is wide-spread in both European and non-European space missions. SpaceWire is typically used for link rates in the range of 100-200 Mb/s for space applications, but link rates up to 400 Mb/s are also foreseen by the standard. The reason of the success of SpaceWire resides in the fact that it allows compact, low-cost, fast serial links and routing switches for network implementation. IngeniArs has long experience on SpaceWire technology, thanks to the experience of its founders and collaborators, who have been working with the technology and participating to ESA SpaceWire Working Groups since the beginning. Setting up and testing SpaceWire links is not an easy task, IngeniArs has the know-how and all the right tools to implement the technology with flight-proven IP Cores and to solve validation and integration problems thanks to its effective test-equipment.
